Abstract:
Recent Neandertal man findings have been made in the years 1997 and 2000. The staff of the Neanderthal Museum wants to avoid any damage to the new fossils by lettering or marking. A low effort digitalisation is possible by using a new method of photo documentation and an online database called NESPOS (nespos.org). A nonambiguous identification of specimens will be possible in the future. Contemporaneously, this method allows us to give access to scientists allover the world with reducing the need of a direct contact to the specimens.
