The site of Irikatz (Zestoa, Gipuzkoa) includes levels corresponding to chronologies of the Upper and Lower Palaeolithic and it is in excavation course from 1998. It is one of the main novelties in the research of the basque Lower Palaeolithic, mainly since the verification that it is a deposit in primary position. In this work it will be described in a preliminary way the archaeobotanical context (Palynology and Anthracology) of the site, as well as the transcendency that can have this location in the context of the western Pyrenees.
